Twelve days of kushmas 2024: ITEM GUIDE

SPOILERS AHEAD!

Thank you for your purchase of the Twelve Daze of Kushmas Canna-Advent Calendar!

We've specially curated this box with some of our favourite products, by cannabis enthusiasts for cannabis enthusiasts.

Each number correlates to the day we suggest you open, for a full twelve daze of Kushmas-y goodness. Please refer back to this page for details on what's behind each door, but reader beware, there are spoilers ahead! We've put together information as to what you're consuming, some background on these amazing brands, and why we've chosen the product. Enjoy!

Day 1: Space Race Apollo Rotating Sativa Pre-Roll This is just a taster to get you started on your Advent Journey. It gets a lot more exciting from here. Space Race is an Alberta “co-packing” brand, specializing in high-potency, high-value products. While Space Race doesn’t grow their own cannabis, nor do they own any growing facilities in Alberta, they work with craft growers throughout the province to hand pick their upcoming strains with a focus on high THC. All of their products are rotational, but you can always count on them to deliver based on the product you purchase. For example, Apollo will always be a potent sativa, in a 0.35g “dog walker” size, for around $5. Produced in: Alberta

Day 2: Qwest 35’s Pre-Rolls (10 x 0.35g) Moving into a multipack, this pack of pre-rolls is a crowd pleaser. Morning Sun is in the forecast. A cross of Kitsilano Kush Cake x Secret Cookies x Kush Mints 11 boasts green & orange buds, a whiff of exotic fruit & gas, and leaves creamy caramel on the tastebuds. Say goodbye to overpriced mediocrity. Qwest 35's 3.5g whole flower pre-rolls are crafted in small batches and hang-dried to keep their natural flavours and potency. Qwest is one of the OG’s in the legal cannabis space, and with their recent new pricing strategy has risen to a staple point on our menu for consistency and great value. Qwest grows their flower in-house with several facilities throughout Alberta and BC. Produced in: Alberta and BC

Day 3: Gas Station Latte Mix (10mg THC) OR Manna Sugar + Tea. To switch it up a bit, we’ve added one of our favourite holiday pick me ups. Indulge in the sweet and savoury goodness of Gas Station's Salted Caramel Latte beverage mix! With 10mg of fast-acting THC, this luxurious drink features a balanced blend of coffee with sweet & salty caramel flavours. We highly recommend taking this on a slow, winter morning in your favourite mug. Not into a wake and bake? Find your special moment with this indulgent mix. Simply mix the contents of the package with 250ml of milk or water and savour the deliciously smooth and creamy taste of Salted Caramel Latte. We love these products for taking on hikes, camping, enjoying at home, or anywhere to safely consume cannabis, really. Cannabis beverages benefit from a process called “nano-emulsification” or “encapsulation” that gives a quicker on-set and off-set. Expect to feel effects within roughly 15 or so minutes, with a shorter duration than traditional edibles. Alternatively, some of our advent boxes came with one of our favourite cultivator Jen's product Manna Sugar. These low-glycemic maple sugars are carefully infused with THC to give you the same quick absorption as our gas station latte. We've included a tea bag to ensure you get the most of your sugar. Read below for tips and tricks. Produced in: Ontario, Canada FivePoint Tips and Tricks: Edible dosing is dependent on each person, their metabolism, and their own cannabinoid system. 10mg for some may be a lot, whereas for others barely scratches the surface. As per Health Canada, 2.5mg is considered a “serving size” but this varies widely. If you want to take this product more slowly and have a lighter buzz, may we suggest adding a portion of the packet to your own cup of coffee. For those that require more THC to get a buzz, there are several water-soluble products that you could add to infuse extra mg into your drink. Ask your budtender on your next visit to your local cannabis shop about infusers to add additional potency to food or beverages.

Day 4: Gorilla Grease Disposable Vape Rarely does a new product come to market the entire team is excited about, but this is one of them. In great hardware, this old school honey oil comes in a solid AIO rechargeable piece, is made locally in Okotoks and has series legacy roots. Although this is labelled an “indica”, the dominant terpenes a-Cederene, a-Pinene, and Terpinene are all known to help reduce mental fog that THC can give you, and are found mainly in cedar, pine, and other conifers. We love this product for its relaxing, yet not sedating effects. What’s the difference between this formulation versus many others? Honey oil is a traditional method that, although uses a solvent, does not go through additional fractionalization processes; Majority of the parts of the plant that went into the extraction process come out the same, only concentrated. We like these products for their “true to flower” nature, without the odor that comes with smoking (great for these cold winters). The quality of the flower going into the concentrate matters greatly when working with Resins such as honey oil, whereas producers making distillate can use almost any biomass to extract fractional cannabinoids such as THC, or cannabis derived terpenes and then reformulate them to exact recipes. The end product of a resin is determined by the strain and flower that goes into it, with their native terpenes and minor cannabinoids. FivePoint Tips and Tricks: Puff on this gently to start to activate. Don’t be discouraged if you cough the first time, simply dial your inhale back until you get the feel for it. This is a concentrated product, so take substantially less than you would in a joint to find that sweet spot of how to use this product. In cold weather, you may experience clogging due to the honey oil not being heated. Do not let this product freeze for better performance.

Day 5 : Spinach Party Pack Back to edibles! These delicious gummies are micro-dosed at 1mg per gummy. Eat as many or as little as you like! (and they’re vegan-friendly) Three new and exotic dual-flavours in every pack, including Peach Passionfruit, Pineapple Coconut, and Strawberry Guava. These dual-flavoured gummies blasted with sour crystals are over-the-top with natural flavours. Snackable and stackable with 1mg THC per gummy and 10mg THC per pack. Produced in: Ontario, Canada

Day 6: Blunt Botanicals Jointment Roll-On. The Holidaze are all about deep relaxation. We're proud to introduce you to an Edmonton Based, woman-owned brand, Blunt Botanicals. This topical product has so many different uses, but we felt it was important to highlight the versatility of cannabis. Blunt Botanical’s commitment to clean, fair trade ingredients has this at the top of our list. The dominant terpene, beta-Caryophyllene, and supporting botanicals, including Birchl, Eucalyptusl, and Black Pepper, Marjoram, Nutmeg, and Arnica create a holistic offering in this roll-on product that speaks to your well-being and the well-being of our planet. They offer a range of topicals, all with the same commitment to their ingredients and practices. Produced in: Edmonton, AB, Canada FivePoint Tips and Tricks: Use this on sore muscles, try it for period cramps, try it on yourself or even your mom. Topical products do not allow cannabinoids to metabolize into the skin the same way as ingestion or inhalation, and therefore do not get you high. There are other benefits to topical absorption, but getting baked isn’t one of them.

Day 7 Token - Ritchie Cherry Infused Blunt (1 x 1g) Token naturals is making waves in the cannabis and cocktail market. Located in Edmonton, Token produces and packages fine cannabis products on one side, and both formulates and produces a line of cocktail bitters on the other. Token’s founder Keenan requested his team to test their cocktail bitters for the aromatics (terpenes) to formulate a blunt with the same flavour profiles. You’ll find notes of rich cherries and oak from the blunt wrap, infused with distillate to give you a nice, slow burning blunt. You can get some serious clouds thanks to the glass filter. Unwind in style with Ritchie Cherry. Produced in: Alberta, Canada Dominant Terpenes: Myrcene, Limonene, b-Caryophyllene FivePoint Tips and Tricks: Save the filter for your own rolls! Especially with infused blunts, ensure to light with care. Take your time to get an even and hot cherry before attempting to smoke. Smoke this casually, even putting it down from time to time. If you’re finding it’s getting harsh, it’s likely too hot. Stop pulling for a moment to let the cherry cool down.

Day 8 : Accessory Pack We’ve included some necessary tools of the trade for you and your new products. You’ll find a refillable clipper lighter, a Syndicate Wallet Grinder, some screens, and a FivePoint Sticker to enjoy. The majority of these products should be self explanatory, but we love them for their on-the-go nature. Bonus points if you send us a photo of your sticker!

Day 9 : Disco Box Pipe Not just any pipe, these are locally produced using a process called “fuming”. A fumed pipe is colour changing; the more you use it, the more colors will start to come out. A team of two artists out of Nanton Alberta, each piece is one-of-a-kind. A note from the artist -“Discobox Glass Studios began in the depths of our basement where we devoted our spare room to the venture. What started as a small table, torch and a duct fan has become a full studio space with a lathe, hundreds of colour options and 3 torch spaces! We offer a variety of Borosolicate glass products from smoking accessories and jewelry to glass drink ware” FivePoint Tips and Tricks: Use your new screens in this pipe and enjoy flower, hash, or infused flower in your new piece of art. At FivePoint we encourage our guests to reflect on how they incorporate art into their daily rituals, and with this hand-made pipe, we hope this sparks joy in your canna-rituals. Thanks for supporting local makers in your community by shopping with us!

DAY 10: FivePoint Papers "Talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before, unafraid to reference or not reference, put it in a blender." - Lady Gaga These high quality papers are made from unbleached hemp, stay stuck, and include customizable tips. FivePoint Tips and Tricks: Try rolling your joints with the filter tip already in. It may take a couple goes to get the hang of it but you'll find you won't get that pesky roll down blocking your airway. When you do get good at it- rolling with the filter in is much faster. Can't roll? Try picking up a roller such as the OCB roller - simply place your FivePoint paper in the slot, add your pre-ground bud and turn the dial for perfect cigarette style joints every time! https://www.fivepointcannabis.ca/

Day 11: Sweetgrass Mint Chocolate Chip Pre-rolls (3 x 0.5g) Mint Chocolate Chip is a potent and perfectly balanced hybrid bred by Exotic Genetix. A cross of Mystery Cookies and Green Ribbon BX, this award winning strain has true legacy cred and has garnered a solid fan base from coast to coast. FVOPA certified organic, grown in living soil, and handled with the utmost care. A pre-roll that burns properly - finally. This producer has been operating in the legacy market for decades, hailing from the Mecca of Cannabis production - The Kootenay Region. We love their product, their story, and their legacy. Produced in: British Columbia, Canada Dominant Terpenes: Limonene, b-Caryophyllene, b-Myrcene

Day 12 : Four54 GastroPop 3.5g Flower These growers also have roots in the legacy world. Gastro Pop is a high THC Indica Dominant hybrid of Apples & Bananas x Grape Gasoline. Delivering a super sweet and sugary berry grape flavor, with hints of sour citrus and fresh tree fruits. The buds are dense with beautiful frosty trichomes. From the first time you pop open the nitrogen flushed tin (which helps with keeping the cure stable) you’ll note the above notes that we feel comes off as a very unique, almost bubble-gum aroma. The buds are dense with beautiful frosty trichomes. Cultivated by a FOUR54 Micro Cultivation partner using living soil, this flower is grown using craft practices including hang drying, slow curing, and hand finishing, all of which contribute to a flower that retains its moisture, potency, and delicious terpenes. Produced in: Nova Scotia, Canada Dominant Terpenes: Myrcene, Caryophyllene, Limonene FivePoint Tips and Tricks: Don’t be put off by the “indica” label for any sativa smokers. Almost everything is technically a hybrid since the two genus of Sativa and Indica are likened to Date Palms versus Coconut Palms. How’s that work? Well, cannabis sativa versus indica are from different regions with very different growing conditions. However, since the 1970s and the immense uptick in domestic cultivation, most growers simply use these terms colloquially to describe the overall effects they believe their new genetics gives since these two genus’ have been cross bred for decades. That being said, expect a chill vibe with this one but nothing sedating that will truly glue you to your couch. Perhaps not a before-workout vibe, but certainly a good, almost-any-time-of-day smoke. Thank you so much for purchasing your Twelve Daze of Kushmas! We’d value any feedback! Please feel free to reach out to admin@fivepointcannabis.ca.
